GT 28's Info/ Advice
Any othe way to I.D. these turbos. Do you know the inlet ands outlet size. I could measure with micrometer in MM. Any other typical markings. Is the water cooling journals typical on Alpha 28's, or more common in general of most aftermarket turbos.
Just want to learn.

There a couple different variations of the GT28's from what I understand. I have the gt28/with the K series exhaust housing but it uses the whole center section of the GT28 including boring out the turbine housing. Mine is also ball bearing with the water cooled option. I just put them on and they seem to be spooling faster than the stock K16 turbos with a flash I just took off.

So do you know on your exhaust side, what if any identification marks are on them. If you could look that would be great. Just dont know what markings/ ID a stock k16 hotside comes with.

Here's how our p800 setup does on the rollers:

That is with our custom A28 turbos on 93 pump gas, stock airbox/intake pipe with drop in filter, our full exhaust with 200 cell cats, Our 6" Monster IC's and hose kit.
Spool is faster than stock k16's and makes 30r-like power on the top end.

I doubt your turbos have a K-16 hotside since they are in a Tial housing. However, the A28s apparently come in several flavors as well. I have not been able to find out any detail about this as most tuners are somewhat secretive about their individual variants. I have been told the A28s from Switzer, EVOMS, EPL, ect... are all different.
Yea, I was on the Tial website and you are correct, they have several variations. Mine do look like the A28s on their webiste pics with the billet actuator ect. My compressor side has the Garrett lettering as in the pics. Their hot side was not clearly labled so I could not do a comparison where mine have a cast in "Tial" showing. I guess I need to call EVOMS as that is small stamped on the flat emboss on the compressor side.
I did not know there were so many versions.

Hell, it's not like any of us actually know what we have anyway!
All I know is that your turbos obviously work very very well for you!

I'm pretty sure I know what I have...
