PSS10 settings on track

What settings should I run the PSS10s on (front and rear) for my first track event ever (PCA DE event in NJ in April). Remember that on the PSS10s 10 is firm and 1 is soft. Also, what settings for the GMG sways?

Is 10 front and rear the right choice? Sways medium front, firm rear?
If it matters, I will be burning up some 2 year old ContiSports from the original wheels on the car.

Also, I know if I get hooked, I'll want to upgrade the PSS10s, but I suspect I'll only end up doing 2-3 events/yr.

It depends on the track. Usually the front at set two click lighter than the rear. My guess the more you track the car the less satisfied with the PSS10's you'll become. They really are a street coil over system. Sways full soft (outer most holes) and rears full hard (inner most holes). Track suspension gets really expensive really fast (Motons, adjustable rear upper control arms, bump steer toe arms, adjustable lower control arms, pillow ball shock mounts, adjustable drop links, solid thrust bushings) it just goes on and on. While each mod helps you on the track, it deteriorates street comfort. At some point you have to decide if you want a daily driver or a weekend warrior/dedicated track car.

Fair warning for others. track time is highly addictive. I originally thought I'd do 5 events over two years and declare myself a better driver and be done with it ... Not the case, as i am hooked big time. Now i need to decide if I throw more money into the car (as a plan to throw more money into the driver via education), or if i stop with the turbo now and plan on a gt3/cup car in the future.

Very slippery slope.

How do you rate the PSS10'S on the track? are the springs too soft? i had to set my pss9's really hard to get them to handle well on my last car.

i felt that when you set them on 7/8 it creates too much bodyroll but that was on a mercedes i dont know if that holds true with the porsche version

The PSS10 is a compromise damper. Great street ride but not enough spring to control body roll on the track. OK for someone who only does occasional DE's but not good for a serious tracker.
