Tiptronic clarification
Tiptronic clarification
Guys,
I have a 2001 tip. From what I see, in 2002 there was an upgrade. What I don't know is: -
1) Was it to the transmission itself?
2) Was it just the TCU?
3) The X50 also talks about upgraded transmission for tip?
If it was just the TCU, can you just take the TCU for say a 2003 car and stick it in a 2001?
or would it be worth just doing the TCU upgrade on the 2001 control unit?
I done some research but some guys in the business seem to think that they change a couple of internals in the transmission. Others believe otherwise and that it is just the TCU.
For those that have done a TCU upgrade, was it worth it and more importantly what power at the wheels where you running?
Thanks Ken
