Well driven Black "Ruf" at TX2K10
Well driven Black "Ruf" at TX2K10
Please ask the owner the origin of this car if it was originally built for
my buddies (late) father. This family had (4) 1989 964 Carrera 4 and I believe (2) of them were converted to very, very fast twin turbo cars and remained AWD. One of the cars (possibly the one at TX2K10) was dubbed
"The Ultimate" and that was stenciled below the rear spoiler on the rear deck. This was not a Ruf Serial Numbered car but was in fact worked on by a number of People including S-Car-Go, Todd @ Protomotive and of course spent some time in Germany at Ruf's factory (not an "inexpensive build). I drove this car and if you think about the performance of the time
(circa early 90's), there was NOTHING that could touch it at the track.
Cool Cars, Cool history. This family (Minnesota family) also had many, many Factory Ruf built Cars including (2) Ruf CTR2 Sports (yellow) and (2)
CTR2 standards in Black, and other Ruf Cars. Alois is their good friend.
I was just fortunate enough to drive them and be around them. They also at one time owned (2) 959's (1 sport, 1 std), and (5) of the homologated
for Group B Rally; Audi Quattro Sports. (4) red, and (1) white
Best,

Marty, that is one of the two cars you are talking about. I told Eric to tell you that on Saturday lol! It went to The Boedoer (spelling?) brothers. This car ended up with a yellowbird motor in it. It scoots. Absolute blast on the track too. This one is the one that is still AWD.
