Fred - sorry to hear the STi isn't "slick" enough for you. I'm not sure you'll find anything close to competitive in both performance and utility given your price range.

Go back to an M5 You know you love it

Just kidding

At first, I was going to say Evo, but you ruled that out from the start. Like you said though, look into a used RS6. Those things are monsters

Thumbs up HPA vwR32=500HP!

If you wanna have great handling, lots of space for cargo & passengers AND have 500HP
I'd reccomend getting a vw R32 and adding an HPA turbo kit!

With your criteria Fred. I would consider the 2005 MB C55, the revisions look great and the engine is a monster. I have also heard that there are deals to be had. Probably the best handling MB after the new SLK.

With all that has been said I think I am leaning towards a used E55, or going to put an order on the new S4 for March Delivery. I have searched everywhere for an RS6 and they are all asking around $80+K. (yellow is just to bright for me ;-) ).
Fred, don't be fooled by those asking prices, you can get one for low $60's. Shank is selling his, although he has mods/money into his so don't know the price, but, PM him.

I agree the M5 is a weak car in and out plus the engine like all the M engines requires you to be constantly in high RPM range to get power out of it. Fred before you do the S4 drive the C55 it is a scream!
