Good question. I can't explain it well, but I know that launching easy and slightly shorter shifts gives me better trap speeds in the quarter. I would guess this is the same theory, just for 1 mile. It is very strange but it seems to work for speed, not time.

Thanks everyone. I ran it at the 1.55 bar we dyno'd it at not the 1.5 when we ran Jitsu.
I'm sure the wing is scrubbing off some speed but after watch Todd Z spin through the dirt in October I was not going to sacrifice safety for an extra couple of mph's.
The car wanders all over the track at the big end. I have to say the 206 run was the scariest ride of my life. The car was all over the place.
