Gemballa CGT? (pic)
What a way to desecrate the perfect Porsche.
Gemballa is such tasteless ****.
With the price of that conversion, you could probably pick up a REAL GT1 with functional roof scoop.
Chad, I know you are probably defensive about TechArt aero since you have the Vampire front bumper. But, as you and I know, TA is a very small company and they are not even formally involved in racing. If their stuff was really that great, why don't any race teams use their bodykits?
Even Ruf campaigned their RGT-RSR in the Nurburgring series...
To be honest, I'm surprised you haven't commissioned your own aero project and designed your own body kit for Killer Angel using a wind tunnel and a team of engineers.

I have wind tunnel tested the Techart II front bumper. One of my companies help construct the NASA wind tunnel in Mt. View, near where I reside. The Techart GT II front has sightly better cf numbers than the GT2. It also has better down force. Have you ever seen the Techart under carriage windage panels? They are beyond excellent. I guess for $10,000.00 they should be.
I'm really not defensive. If I find something better, then I switch. It's that simple.
I love Porsche, yet as we all know they have been building SUV's not race cars for some time now.

Rave, that would be pretty cool. Chad and I think of some crazy ****, only difference is, Chad takes stuff from his wildest dreams and spends whatever it takes to make it happen.
Chad, have you looked into widebodies from DP Motorsport or Light-Weight in Germany? I think these guys are on a different level than amateur companies like TechArt.
Like I said, name ONE race car with a TechArt body kit. DP and Light-Weight supply to a lot of the top race teams.
By the way, why did you go with the GT2 wing instead of the Type 2 wing?
In any case, I guess what I'm saying is, with all the money you've spent, KA may be "too good" to be wearing a TA front bumper. You should design or find something commensurate with something that can supposedly kill a GT3-RSR.

Tyson,
Myself and the tuners you mentioned are apples and oranges. They race endurance and I play with street and short track runs. It is really unfair to compare. I would have my head handed to me on a platter in any endurance contest.
Some of Techart's parts are in fact very aero dynamic. One of the founders was an aero dynamic expert prior to starting Techart. The only Techart part I used on KA was the front and I am looking at their undercarriage or making my own along the lines of the Enzo.
The Techart front has good cf numbers. Good cooling and most important excellent down force.
Just remember, I qualified where I said it would kill. Nothing will excell in all venues.
As for using the GT2 wing. It provides all the downforce required for KA's intended use which is acceleration from 0-190. Too much downforce will slow the car down. Besides I love the lines of the GT2 wing.
Oh there is another good Techart part, the stuts at the rear intercooler exit vents. They do infact help relieve a low pressure area.

I don't like Gemballa, but I'm not one to be satisfied with what is currently out there. Better. More. Always.
So, props to them for tackling such a job.
This being said ... well, styling is Gemballa, rice. But I must say I like the profile much more, getting rid of the pick-up truck line is a good thing IMHO.
I wouldn't consider one, though.
