Removing the lifters from the 996tt wing

Hi all,

Sick and tired of the wing lifters failing and being told that the lifters will be 1k to replace. So we have taken the top wing off and now want to remove the pneumatics. Ideally finishing up with just the ducktail esque spoiler and something to cover up the holes.

Anyone have any ideas how to do this?

Currently looks like this (you can just see the lifters poking out the top)

My spoiler is f@&£ed aswell, i went to opc to get some pentosin fluid to try to fix it and they told me not to go over 100 mph without spoiler lift! I didnt listen but they say its dangerous, im gonna keep my eyes open for a used gt2 lid. Porsche quoted me £5000 unpainted. Ha ha

why not just leave the top wing blade on and always in the lowered position to cover the holes? Maybe you can just pull the fuse for the wing and keep it constantly in the down position?
