Chris , on your HKS , you can dial in you boost level by numbers ? like 1.2 bar etc etc and dont have to mess with the percentage gain?>

You got it right bro. It's not in bar increments though, its by PSI (Simple conversion though as you know is Set PSI / 14.77 = Actual Bar value). But regardless it's a LOT more simple to control once you get it all dialed down (There is still an intial Boost Setting, Gain (or something like that), etc.. when you FIRST turn it on). The Boost Hoses are run a little bit different, biggest thing is there is no need for a Vacuum line into the car. There is a Cable that comes into the car to the gauge and that's it. If I remember correctly the lay out of the hoses (and this isn't in the right order) is 1x -> Y-Pipe (for boost reference in front of the TB pressure reference); 1x -> Fuel Pressure (or in my case the line I get my BOV Reference from (Which is BEHIND the TB pressure source); 1x -> Waste Gates (that T Off like the Greddy does now).

Plus the best part about it is you don't have to hit the Menu or whatever button 4 or 5 times to see your Peak Hold value. It's displayed up top and the boost gauge is alot easier to read since it's reading in actual PSI not a number you have to convert to PSI (or do the conversion from KPA (depending on how your Profec B is setup)).

Just got my HKS EVC IV and the manual/instructions looks japanes

Any idea where can i find the english manual/instructions?

any tips/hints??

If you buy the greddy from a authorized dealer Greddy USA will send you a new one... they took care of me...
Most buy on Ebay for $100 less and then do not have any recourse if it blows out...
The HKS is $300 more... Although I considered one myself it is a lot of money to spend on a EBC.

What about the Hks evc-s ? It retails $375. That's what I'm installing this week.

Not surprising.. Had 1 in a customers 996tt a couple weeks back that died for the 2nd time.. Swapped in a 95.00 Manual Boost controller and car was 10x more consistent and made 776whp no issues pull after pull.. No surging, no dropping boost.. Perfect solution..
