Haha... you're right Doc, I am very picky with the cars I'm interested, esp if I felt like I was paying good money for it... but I'm also reasonable... if the dealership had told me about the few little issues (curb rash on all four rims, little dents (which appeared to be hail damage), small accident in the rear passenger side quarter panel... I MAY have overlooked it. Worse thing to do is set expectations and have it fall short.

Thanks for the kind words Nikolas

Deckman, I understand where you are coming from. I can work on the price without the HREs/ADVs if you are interested which will take a few k off. Btw, if I may (I'm sure you know this already)... one thing to keep in mind is that although mods can be bought used (wheels, exhaust, turbos, etc), unless you are very handy or have a connection with a mechanic shop/paint shop, most shops around houston charge $100/hr for labor. Buying an exhaust for $1500 used will cost you another $300 - $500 to install, same with suspension, alignment, etc.

Sorry to hear that. Best on your search... although the search process can be stressful and time consuming (not to mention can get exp running PPI's on them), once you find the right one, all those goes away

Edwin

I went through this with my previous Porsche. It's hard to find the right one and takes time. The last time I bought a C2 and there are a lot more of them out there than TT's.

I don't mind doing the leg work, it's fun but I'd like to get one as soon as possible. My son is coming home from college in a few weeks and we need another vehicle around.

Curious how many miles the guy put on it during those 4 months. If it was low maybe he didn't abuse it too much. Probably the right call on passing with that many unknowns though. There are more out there and you'll find the right one. I'm sending you an email on a couple more I found recently in my area.
