Considering that my Porsche can outrun my Merc SL63-AMG w/over 500 HP its hard to beleive that I am pushing under 400 HP. But I bet you know more than I do about it so I will take your word for it. The Sl weighs quite a bit more than the Porsche. Maybe I should put a couple of really fat guys in the Porsche and see how they compare. Thing is its hard to get really fat guys in the back seat!

I have the UMW tune on an '04 X50, with Kevin's WGA kit, Bosch DVs, and the EPGen2 Quiet from Stef. That exhaust is unparalleled in it's sound and performance on K24s plus UMW's tune. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

I just had the LWFW installed along w/ a GT3RS clutch and couldn't be happier (also have the 996 ssk).

Huge props to the Europipe Gen2 - I can hear everything I love about that car - turbos on the way up, and on release, screaming at WOT, and the beautiful gurgle on throttle off.

My other car is a SL63-AMG and that things has the most awesome sound coming out the back end. It rumbles and gurgles. I can hardly stand to drive it with the top up because I want to hear it. So when I hop from that to the 996TT, the Porsche sounds like a sewing machine next to it. I would love to find an exhaust with a deeper tone. But of course I want to avoid the dreaded drone. I realize the P car and the Merc are different animals. But to me the stock exhaust on the P is just not aggressive enough sounding. I have heard good things about the Europipe stage 2 quiet. What else is out there that maybe doesn't cost $4000?

It seems to me that the X-50, having the k24 turbos would really benefit from a more free flowing exhaust. Maybe get those babies spinning at a lower rpm and get me moving.

I am also considering changing the wastegates.

Opinions?
Talk to markski@911tunning he knows this staff very well and has everything you need and back you up all the way

I was looking for the EP2 quiet when a Loud popped up on ebay. I snapped it up and am SO glad I didn't get the quiet. Perfect sound for me- not bad for cruising, no major resonances, and shoulds great at WOT.

You MUST get the wastegate upgrade if you have Kevins' tune and K24s. Your peak boost will be much more stable.
