If you love your car, and decide it's not worth selling, price really isn't an issue.

Quote: I've been tracking lower mileage cars (under 30k) ever since I shopped for mine, and they are getting to be slim pickins.... there are a total of 14 manuals in the whole country under $50k (Autotrader).

Really, I don't care if I lose money on my car as it's been absoultely 100% satisfying to own it for the past year, but it's good to know that they aren't falling appart in the value dept.
Finding a tip is even harder. I just bought one for $47.5k with 29k miles, paid $2k more to transfer the 2.3 year remaining warranty. I'm pretty happy with the deal I got, and will say that pickings for low mile black tip's are extremely rare.

I have seen prices rise, which makes me happy because I caught mine just at the point where thay started rising (not the future value really)...

now, the good cars are now more scarce than ever and will be from now on... simply because these cars are being driven, the low ball cars are getting into the hands of crazy modders and people who won't maintain it and good cars are being moved or kept... so I predict after the summer the good cars are going to be harder to be found, at least at reasonable prices...

I guess the hunt for a 997TT is on...

Congrats,

I paid more than I wanted to for my car a year ago, but got exactly what I wanted, and haven't regreted it at all. Would have hated settling for less, or waiting out for a "deal" just to never find what I got in this car!

Where in Ohio are you?

Cheers, TK

It's just the normal spring/summer blip. What's going on is they are holding values for the buying season. Early 996TT cars are probably 10 years away from truly bottoming out, so they'll start coming down again in the fall.
