Anyone Know for Certain?

The seats are interchangeable for sure, so I'm hoping the interior has matching geometry for the bolt points.

It'll work Ari. Which bar are you trying to install?

I saw someone selling a Tequipment bar for the 996 and recommended it to my father in law for his 997.1 GT3.

I would jump on it, but as long my kids fit back there I don't see it as a good option.

@Sharky do you notice that roll bars in general stiffen the chassis in a meaningful way? Can a driver feel the difference? Is there less creaking and chassis flex?

Hey Ari that one for sure will fit. I personally don't feel a difference with those as they're just bolt in ones to the seat belt mounts. To increase stiffness/rigidity you need a real bar or cage that's usually welded in or at least connects to the strut tops etc... Also whichever bar you use though having kids in the back is a no go... Too dangerous.
