O/T Ferrari owners I need help

I am in the market for a 360 and have been eyeing one for several days. I have placed several bids on the car that I am interested in on ebaymotors.com, however the biddign ended today and I was the 2nd Highest bidder on the car with a bid of $133,100.00. Low and behold I get a call from the individual over at Braman Porsche and he says to me that the person who won the bidding was a 13 yearold kid and can no afford the car. So he says to me that since there was no reserve I have the choice to take the car for $133,100.00 Since I was the 2nd highest bidder. My question is this does this car seem like a value for this price, becuase I almost feel like there is somethign wrong with the car becuase I see others selling for $140-$145.

John

BTW here is a link for the car

It's most likely cheaper because it's manual, and it isn't one of the most desired color combinations like silver/black or red/tan.

the manual shift 360's never became very popular

Thumbs up 360

Take it - I never liked that color b4 but it is stunning on the 360 - I would buy it in a heartbeat for that price - good luck bud!

Wow, lower miles, doesn't say anything about paint flaws or interior damage. How did these guys get a hold of it to begin with? Perhaps they acquired through an estate sale.

Doody you there?

I think that its a good deal for a 2000 with those low miles. I did see one higher mileage blk 99 360 6 speed coupe for $99,000 but the price you bid is way more typical from what I've seen advertised. The market on these has to be pretty soft also if the 996TTs have come down so much. I wouldn't automatically assume the car has issues based on the price. Love that color combo. I hope you get it.

John,
Just a thought. That whole 13 year old kid thing bugs me. Do you think there was some "inside" bidding going on the artificially raise the price for a quick sale? Can you try sending an email to the first bidder to see if their story is legit? Remember....caveat emptor (sp?)!!

Is the car still under warranty

check how many owners of the car and if is still under warranty. Try working backwards to find the true story.

KPV,

That crossed my mind and have sent an email to the other bidder and tried to verify that, that is the case. I just love this color combo

I wouldn't buy it, it doesn't have the shields? That's a must have option...

Oh... is this another car on top of the TT, or are you getting rid of the white beast ... your TT is the best one I've ever seen and that F-car doesn't do it justice ... if you find a California Blue on Ivory white interior Spyder then we're talking!

Dario I hope you are kidding? The reason I love this car is becuase it looks sleek in Rosso, no Challenge Grill, no shields!

And yes I will be keeping the StormTrooper as someone so elegantly put it...

360 pricing

price seems like market to me. i've got a dealer chaseing me with a 2000 360 with 3000 miles, with the F1 transmission and in titanium silver, arguably the most sought after combo (plus it has tubis). price around 145k. $12k discount for color/manual/non-tubi seems reasonable to me, although i personally think the bordeaux looks very nice. good luck.

I paid close to 160k with taxes a year ago. Same year and model accept Red/Black and mine is a Euro model.

Is this one a Euro model??? I can't find that info.
