What 996 Turbo Exhaust Is This?
What 996 Turbo Exhaust Is This?
Below are some pix of the exhaust that came with my Lambo-Titantium colored 996 Turbo. The dealer said it was a Porsche Motorsport exhaust. Anyone recognize it? Performance data? Reviews? I hope it's good for a few ponies...
Note the quality welds and size of cat.
Thanks,
Stephen

Sorry, no such thing as a Porsche Motorsport exhaust for the Turbo -- your dealer should know better.
Looks like a Cargraphic exhaust.

Truthfully, the exhaust is not in bad shape. It's simply dirty, and has a few small scratches on the underside. The flash from the camera seems to amplify every little stain. Some metal polish will clean it up real nicely.
As for posting more pix... I'll do so as soon as I can figure out how to upload more pix. I uploaded 6 pix, and hit the disc limit. And I can't seem to edit/delete my existing pix.
Shank... help a brother out!

I noticed your luxury motors licence frame, that would explain the "porsche motorsport exhuast" comment. BTW, just a little piece of advise, if you just purchased this car, do a carfax immediately if you haven't already. I heard something interesting about luxury motors.

they most likely don't know the answer themselves
Thanks for the heads up, Lou. The carfax was clean. Had an open recall: Recall #W208000 UPDATE PCM SOFTWARE 996/986 2000-2002. However, Porsche Exchange said that open recall wasn't applicable to my car.
Shank checked with his contact at Manhatten Motors, and the exhaust on my car has been verified as a Cargraphic. It also has an Evo shifter.
I see that you live in Chicago. Perhaps Shank, you, and I can meet up sometime.
FYI: I hear there's a bunch of cars (Vipers, Supras, etc) going to Byron this Sunday. Not sure if I'll go, but I think Shank is going.
