turbo check valve...

...on each turbo oil inlet, #996 107 030 78.

What's the function of these ( 993 turbo hasn't got ones ) and can one live without them?
If not, how much and where to get ones to NYC for Friday...

????

May be part# 996 107 030 78 ??? They are located on the pressure line going into the turbos. Reason??? I would not live without it because I do not understand the reason they put this check valve in that location. Only $89.00, do yourself a favor and reinstall one.... I did a search with the proper number and you can get it from Pelican ($74.00) and many others....

I believe they are a filter point so that the turbos don't ingest anything that could destroy them. Others will chime in. My tuner told me they are necessary.

Landjet. It is a possibility but I never had one in my hand..... I have looked at the oil diagram and this check valve is not on it ;-) But of course it is a simple diagram....

From the photo I saw it looked like they were attached directly to the turbos themselves.
