Hi,
Just to double check I'm reading right, I've got a 2003 996 turbo x50, and I want to tighten up the shift, and I can/should buy the short shift kit for a 997?
Thanks

997 SSK is superior to the other options but it is a bit pricey.

997 stock shifter comes in clsoe second and usually can find a used one around 50$-100$from someone who has upgraded.

Nevermind.... in case anyone wants to know: the 997 SSK will fit the following:
  • Boxster (all versions) 1997-12
  • Carrera (all versions) 1999-12

I have heard that the aftermarket shifters can also be harder on Syncros thus accelerating transmission wear greatly.

The 997 SSK from Porsche will fit both 997's and 996's.

Let me know if we can help you out.
