Stock Suspension Shot?

My car which I have had for a few months has about 30k miles on it and the ride quality is just awful. Is it likely that the shocks/struts are just worn out or is this the way a normal functioning stock suspension feels? Every bump and crack is bone jarring. My wife is pleading with me to "fix" the suspension. I've been researching various options but just wondered about whether in fact the suspension is truly worn out.

Have a tech look at it. Then buy some PSS10's. You'll love them.

Topless TTS is infamous around these parts
What is the question???...They should have been replaced 30k miles ago...although "bone jarring" would not describe worn shocks unless hitting bumper stops after some travel.
