Yeah I was thinking the same thing, and the R888's aren't priced as bad as I thought they were.

On the Toyo site; it doesn't list a 315/25/19. Just 305/30/19.:

Tread Depot is on a distinguished road
Being one of the few authorized dealers of Toyo tires online that sell a ton of the UHP line of Toyo, all I can say is the people who buy the T1-R's, R1R's, R888's, RA-1's always come back for more. Every now and then they call and tell me they want to try a new tire but they always end up coming back to the Toyo's. For the masses out there here are the specs for each one of the lines above:

R888: 100 AA A, http://www.treadepot.com/review/r888.html
RA-1: 100 AA A, http://www.treadepot.com/review/ra1.html
R1R: 140 AA A, http://www.treadepot.com/review/pr1r.html
T1R: 280 AA A, http://www.treadepot.com/review/prt1r.html

All of the line above, excluding the T1R's are generally a special order item that I can get picked up from Toyo twice a week. If anybody has any question on any of the tires above dont hesitate to give me a all at 888-421-8473.

The only tire from the list above that Toyo makes in both sizes is the Toyo Proxes T1R. Here are the prices:

235/35R19, $193/tire
315/25R19, $305/tire

I didn't mean to scare people away from the Invo, just be careful. I did replace that tire with another Invo since the rest were Invos, however I have never went over 160 on them again. I can only imagine what would have happened to me/E55 if that blowout happenned on the road.

I did regularly(once or twice a week) go 150-160 on them and they held up fine. For the price they are hard to beat, I had 285/25/20 too so performance wasn't going to be great regardless of brand.

Are they compareable to Bridgestone RE050s? Nope
Are they compareable to Michelin PS2s? Nope

For a 1000$ I would recommend the Toyo T1Rs over the Invos. T1Rs grip better and I have never had a failure.

Now I went back to a Michelin PS2. We spent a lot of money making our cars "faster" and "handle" better. None of that matters if you can't put the power to the ground.

Easy choice from one who tested and ran hard on many of these....

Hankook Ventus RS-3. If you haven't tried them - wake up and join 2010th decade.

They come in 305 width in 19 if you can live with that and 245 fronts. Hankook are OEM supplier for brands like Audi so you can't go wrong with the quality there, also priced much better than Bridgestone, Michelin etc.

Advan Neova is a decent tire as well.

Beware that if you use a R888 on road, the thread pattern makes a jeep/military truck noise. I couldn't stand it and changed immediately.

Also on track you get about 2-3 laps and after that they are at least 1 sec slower. I will not be a returning customer for those.

NT01 has good traction but lacks the good lateral grip of a good R-comp, also a tire I will never pay for again, unless I'm just doing straightline driving.

Yokohama made a very consistent and durable compound already for A048 and A050 and Advan Neova are even better. They are good but a tad expensive. It leaves Hankook who went the same route on compound, to have a tire that has consistent grip for a long time, silent, comfortable and capable of serious laptimes.

Are the Hankook Ventas RS-3 and Advan Neova's R compound tires?

I like mine...street...cannot be beat.

Track....you can squeal them if you push. I slow down a bit to save rubber and try to keep things on edge. I suspect I am slower then the quoted driver...or could be a track to track issue. I got a ride with a PS2 car and it squealed just as much.....fyi only. YMMV

The RS-3 and AD08 are not R compound tires.

The RS-3 tread pattern reminds me of the Bridgestone S-03 Pole Position - those were great tires.
