What is the widest tire size you can put on stock 18' wheels?

I ran ps2's in 315 in back with no problems with stock wheels.
I wish Nitto would make the INVO's in that size I am really liking the INVO's in the 295 size. They are very good in wet weather, horrible in snow.

My Kumho XS's are 315 in the rear and I have not rolled the fenders, no rubbing issues.
I've also heard good things about the Nitto INVOs. Another option that I'm hearing good things about are the Hankook Ventus V12 evo.
I'm looking at getting an E55 soon and I think I'll be trying those out.

Hi fellas,
If I run 235/40/18s out front and 315/30/18 out back (on my stock turbo wheels), what MM spacers should I look into to keep things from rubbing, and if anything to simply widen the stance a bit and improve the look of the car?
It will be lowered on H&R sport springs...
Thanks much!
