Well, considering I don't track my 996TT and don't have any immediate plans to, it's safe to say that I'll be remaining a fan of the GT2 but an owner of a 996TT!

But, all that being said...I am a big GT2 fan!

It looks like an absolute beast... I might be tempted to wait for 3 or 4 years to pick one up used after the depreciation kicks in... I still love my 996 GT2 though.. No electronic aids, no traction control, nothing between you and the Car except your own abilities... It might be the last Turbo Porsche ever to be this raw and untamed...

Would be nice to see a Veyron being pushed hard on a track vs say a well sorted and tuned 996 turbo. My feeling is that the 996 would be quicker because the Veyron is carrying so much more weight.

Hey Graham... sorry to hear about bumper but it can be easily fixed by the looks of things and at same time you can kiss goodnight to these 2 stupid cushions on the back.

Pushing a Veyron is not an option, at least in FL. We had 1 show up @Sebring in June and he couldn't run more that 3 laps before the brakes gave out and the car was running hot. That being said he passed my GT3 like it was standing still on the back straight.

Nice track report - your times seem to be kicking times reported in the GT3 section from 997 GT3 on MPSC at Laguna so I guess there's something to say about what model route to go for fastest amount of fun.

Now a little OT hey Stevo I love that big wing you have there, could you give some insides to how it's fitted, would it be a correct guess that you have a GT3 decklid and if so how does it work with the 996TT intake - or what did you do to make it work + are those tall mounts custom?

Very nice.. Id imagine its in pretty much street form, no drastic lightening such as carpet removal, a/c etc??

Yeah.. The GT2 has all the handling of the GT3RS (once you know what to do and how to set it up), but 150 HP more... Frank and I have our Cars VERY dialed in now, as far as the suspension setup, geometry, ride height etc go... The Hoosier R6's in the sizes we are using are absolutely perfect for these Cars...

Pluis, I have the PCCB's working perfectly and they are flat out AMAZING on the track.. not even the slightest sign of fading EVER.. consistent pedal feel, repeatable results lap after lap after lap... VERY happy with how they work for me.

Cheers..
