I agree with Alex,
Might as well plan a few events
as well as the same type of events, driving to/from the track.

He was drunk when he said that. Show us what you're hiding in the drawer, Brian.

I haven't heard anyone say anything against the Cayennes (why would they?)
Cayennes are certainly welcomed but only if they tow a flatbed along in case any "sport scars" get stuck.

I did ask Alex to move the Feburary 19th date since there is a technical session in Santa Clara that same day.

http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=3904

Yes, I did go on the drive last year. And on most of the events starting in 1999, and thereafter.

Yes, I do have a Boxster. Yes, Aileen does change Alex's oil filter.

Yes, a few Boxsters will show up in March. You bring the HP, we bring the cars.

So we'll have another drive later in the following months for those who would rather go to the tech inspection.
For the rest of us that don't need a tech inspection and the date looks good, we should keep it on.

All in favor ?

I suggest that the drive be officially 'limited' to all Porsches (with a few possible exceptions for 6speedonline members that don't have thier Porsches 'yet').
I would not 'officially' open it up to any / every car as it will change the dynamic...

200 cars sounds interesting, but could Baja actually accommodate that? Great place and all, but with 100 cars last year it seemed pretty much packed... jammed P-Lot, jammed dining deck?

I also suggest that either the date be changed to be another month out, or leave it since 30 plus have 'signed up' so far...

I agree that multiple drives / get togethers would be great this year.

I agree as well, the last drive I went to had an open invitation, 1 guy rolled his car, another kid spun his mom's bmw into a tree.

I would say inquire with Alex/Sharky if you want to bring a non-Porsche car, or friend...

Would be cool to have other exotics, Ferraris, Lambo's, etc. but thats just me.

There will always be another drive. The more the merrier.

For those that don't care to go to the tech session, they should go for a drive.

I also agree with that. It's a primarily a 6speed porsche drive plus a few special friends

Although I wish one of the special friend have a Lotus Elise to bring along

I dont quite understand the excluding part. Say if someone with a Pagani Zonda read this and wanted to come, I sure would like to see one in person..

I would be more concerned about if the person behind the wheel is an ******* driver.

If you want I can talk to Matt at Stanford European and see if he'll let his Lambo clients know about it...

I think keeping it restricted is a good idea, otherwise you get these punk kids in Audis trying to keep up on the corners and flying off cliffs. Oh wait...

But honestly, the larger the group, the higher the probability of an accident. Maybe put an age limit on it
