We just installed our newly released Fabspeed 70mm X Pipe Muffler Bypass with 200 Cell Sport Cats, High Performance Headers and our High Performance Air Intake on a 2002 996 Twin Turbo GT2. The customer was looking for something more aggressive but not too loud and an increase in power. So we went with our Headers and Sport Cats with X Pipe muffler bypass since he had the 6 speed and the Air intake for additional power and intake sound. This is a perfect way to increase power on both sides of the turbo charged engine and really make a big difference in the overall feel of the driving. The installation took about 3 hours to do all 3 items and bolted right up with an OEM fit.

The big power gains on this car are upgrading to a less restrictive exhaust and improving the air flow to the engine because the factory parts are restrictive and just too quiet. But the muffler bypass pipe really wakes the car up. Check the pictures below of the new X Pipe Muffler bypass installed. Its a simple and straight forward install and really makes a noticeable Horsepower improvement, in addition to a sporty sound.

It sounds sporty and aggressive outside but since its a turbo, its not too loud if your soft on the pedal. The customer loves the sound and power increase and it put a smile on his face. Next he wants to do the EVOMS ECU Tune, Diverter Valves and a Roll Bar for more power and to compliment the rest of the upgrades. Make sure to check out the Dyno Results and Video, its pretty sweet. if you have an issue with FabSpeed or any other sponsor or member take it to the mods or admins for resolution and leave it off of the board...these issues are to be settled off the board...thread closed
