Lowering engine for expansion tank replace?

I'm going to be picking up an expansion tank today from Sonnen Porsche (nice price, 137.00) and replacing it from some of the DIY's I've found on 6speedonline and Renntech. One thing I have not found is how to lower the engine. I've read in HERE that you can lower the engine a couple of inches and that's what I'd like to do.
Any one have experience?

Best,
Keith

Luna is infamous around these parts
Very very easy to lower the engine up to 4 inches. It helps a lot!

Car on stands.
Jack under motor. (I use a rubber insert to stay away from any damage)
Disconnect IC hoses to Y-pipe
Take the airbox out. (1 clamp, MAF and 1 center bolt)
Unbolt the 2 engine mount nuts on each side of the motor.
Slowly lower the jack. The Motor wont fall down to the ground so don't be afraid...

I takes me 10 minutes to lower it now that I have done it 3 times.

What were the symptoms that your tank was going bad?

I have a little leak that drips onto the drivers side exhaust tip. Smells of sweet coolant after a drive. Water temp a little higher than normal.
