Help EBC Yellow Brake Pads Squeak Like Hell
If you track the car and get some pad residue transfer to the rotors then they are completely quiet, but after a while street driving, the residue wears off and they squeal again, but only under 5 mph. I leave mine in all year round. When I pull up to a light and people look, I just smile knowing I have the best brake pads in the world, and they have no idea about it.
You probably just need to bed them in. "water" or emergency stops won't do it...
Perform 8-10 stops from 80mph to 5mph repeatedly, then drive 15mi to let them cool. You want the rotors a nice even, deep blue color. Repeat until you get that color, then bleed the brakes.
FYI If we're talking Pagid Yellows, the squealing is normal. Those are the best track pads out there. Can't have it all-- Dust, noise, performance. Pick two. I don't have any experience with EBC Yellows.
