Parking...

How do you park your GT2 or Turbo?

Do you park in the back of the lot, valet, take up two spaces, or just park wherever you can find a spot?

It doesn't seem to matter where I park. I usually park so far back in the lot that I need to take a taxi to get to the store, but when I come out, there is a pickup truck parked 6 inches from my driver's side door.

Back of a lot end spot if available or take up 2 spaces if it is a LARGE lot (Costco, Sam's Club, etc...) and not busy. Valet no more unless its one of my usual spots that know me and I park it up front.

I park it wherever I can find a spot when it's parallel. I live in SF, and it's nearly impossible to find parking. I sometimes valet it, if I don't wanna look for parking. And in a parking lot, I tend to park it somewhere far from the rest of the cars. I don't mind the walking. At a casino up north near red bluff some arseh*le parked near me and left a small dent on my passenger door. Still need to get that one out.

That BS happens all the time around here! 500 spots open and they beat-up kid-hauler Escalade or Yukon parks RIGHT next to you!

Back of the lot, away from other cars. Taking up 2 parking spaces does not fly in my neighborhood. It would be akin to declaring I am better than you/my car is better than your car and a good way to return to a keyed up car.

never take the car shopping . never take two spaces some people make a big deal about that....my favorit story is parking on an end spot right across from the restraunt that porsche club chose. we are all looking out the widow and see a old mercedes take a huge parking spot next to my car. he backs in perfectly pulls forward till he hits my car then backs up till he hits the car behind him and the pulls forward again. i go out to check my car , ask the guy why he hit my car he sez well i was just parking (some people just have no idea, they just don't get it...

I really think it comes down to the fact our cars are cleaner, look better. Others figure it is better to park next to us vs. some old beater.

BTW, just paid $85 to get a small ding out of my car, courtesy of local shopping center.

I park wherever 90% of the time. As long as it is not a tight squeeze. Though I can't say much I drove my car to school when I was in college. But the school I went to was mainly for grad students or people coming back for their 2nd or 3rd degree (older people) so I wasn't so worried about it.

I rarely take my car anywhere that I have to park it for a long time. I don't take it shopping, to the mall, to dinner, etc.. I'd also never let a valet touch it.

I typically take my truck to those types of places instead. It's much easier and I don't have to worry about it.
