Hey - Fat 911-

The car is looking good. We should rename the thread - All Polar TT's on Track.

Wow - that car is slammed. Is that GT2 height, or lower? Which track are you on?

Hey Rich,

Thanks for the nice comments, I have had the car lowered to GT2 height and have never regretted it, it handles great and ride quality hasn't changed much.

That track is called Eastern Creek, it's in Sydney, Australia and it's lots of fun and can be very very fast.

What have you got planned for your car?

Regards
George

Hey Fat -

Oh - the track was in Australia. That could explain why I didn't recognize it. :-)

GT2 height looks great. Assuming you adjusted height via new coilovers - which solution did you go with?

My '05 plans are: GIAC Stage II, exhaust (Europipe II Loud), suspension (PSS9 or Moton, lowering the car, naturally), and that's it! I'll probably keep it simple. And of course, Akkurat will do all of the work. Only real mod so far is B&M SSK - done just in time for the track - so I was stoked.

Rich,

Good luck with your mods, if your going to go for stage II get ready to go for more as once you get the power thing happening you will want more and more...trust me.

As for the suspension, I went for the KW setup and so far so good, but then again I haven't driven a TT with PSS9's, motons etc, I can say that it made a definate improvement on the track and would never track a TT with a stock setup.

Do the suspension first, then upgrade the driver. The rest can come later.

If you lower to GT2 heights with PSS9, you will hit bump stops. Try the JICs if you are looking for something between PSS9 and Motons. The Motons are a bit much for a mostly street car.

Rich, I think we're going to have to check you into the mod-clinic soon I've never yet managed to cure myself. Everytime I say "this is the last thing, I do something else..."

Yep - I might agree with that. I've got mod's on the brain. I actually just had a discussion w/ the Chief Decision Maker of the house, and set expectations re: mod's this year. Looks like we'll be good-to-go on all of my plans.

Damn this is addicting. Make it stop! (thinking of mod's and 6speed in general....of course, you know this better than me, Mr. 4,900 posts!).
