Spark Plugs replacement for low miles Turbo

I bought my 2001 996tt in 2003 with 8K miles. It now has 19K miles and is still on its original plugs. I know the manual says plugs should be changed at 30K or 5 years. Do I really need to change the plugs? Car runs fine.

YEs it needs plugs.. Cranking the car up for 9 years on the same plugs is plenty enough to foul them.. Its time to change them..

Thanks, Mike. That's what I needed to know. I'll get the plugs changed when I do my yearly low mileage maintenance next month. Who knows ..I'm probably losing power gradually due to the old plugs and not even knowing it.

silverlight is infamous around these parts
What do folks here recommend as the best replacement spark plugs (with performance in mind)? Bosch seems to be a favorite here in the couple references I've seen in the past, but I'm about to replace as well and would like to do it right.
