Can someone please post a pic of the case of the 996 TT tail lights (US version)? I would like to see where the additional third bulb for the US version of the tail lights is located and how many bulbs are in there together.

As I already pointed out in my other thread I think about modifying the tail lights of my euro TT (with two bulbs for the normal red rear light) to the US look (with three red bulbs), but unfortunately there is no hole for the third bulb in my tail light's casing.

I would like to see the rear of the case of the tail lights to find out, where the third brake light is and to find out whether I can modify my own euro tail lights or if I need to order US TT tail lights.

Also pics of US TT tail lights turned on at night or dusk would be appreciated.

I already searched ebay.com for a pic, but didn't find any. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your efforts, Evan. The picture with the lights turned on is very interesting: Is the outer bulb not as bright as the two other bulbs in that unit? Or does it only look like that on the photo?

The other picture is also very interesting, but unfortunately the part I am interested in the most, is pretty dark.

If anyone has a brighter pic of the rear of the case, please post it.

Sorry for the darkness, my flash is broken, so I did the best to brighten it in Photoshop, but it is still dark... I will try and get a better photo tonight at some point... You are correct, it is a bit dimmer than the main lights!!

Would be awesome to get a clearer pic of the marked area. No need to rush though... don't want to cause any hectic. I am happy enough that I found someone who took the time to help me with this issue. Don't think that I would have found someone on a German board who would immediately run down to his TT to take out a tail light and make a photo for me.

In Europe the two bulbs which are lit are 5W bulbs. Do you (or anyone else) know, what the third bulb in the US is?
