I don't think the car was tuned.

The dealer who now owns the car (after finding it "for me") ended up jacking up the price by a few thousand above his original asking price, so this is longer a good deal.

They didn't end up replacing the clutch on the car (after the orginal seller dropped the price of the car by $4500 to account for a bad clutch). It seems like the dealer is pocketing this money and now charging higher than market value for the car. To me that seems pretty backhanded/shady, not someone I really want to do business with.

Now I'll be continuing my search elsewhere.

 

Dealer name and location? (I assume you mean 'used car lot dealer' and not 'real porsche dealer'.)

They deserve to be shamed....pretty sleazy behavior.
