Hi. I got a 01 turbo recently from the dealer. It has been rainning like crazy in Southern Cal these couple of weeks. After the rain, when I backup my car, which is going reverse, my car's brakes squeak in a very sharp tone. It is always like that when backing up in the rain, and after a car wash.

When no water hit the wheels or brakes, backing up has no squeaking sound.

Anyone with the same problem before? Should I take it to the dealer for checkup? Or just brake hard during backup?

I think lots of cars squeak in reverse - mine makes a shrill squeal sometimes in reverse when braking - I believe it's just the resonance of the pads against the backing plates, and isn't something to be concerned about...
