Quote: I have outran 2 Z06's with just a tune.
In those specific cases, you definitely beat the drivers. Nice job, by the way.

Bone stock, my Z06 trapped 127 in a 88 degree temps and ran 60-130 in 7.86, 7.92 and 7.99 in 60 degree temps with 2-shifts. No 996TT with only a tune will ever come close to those numbers.

Your stage 2 car was pretty close to that, but you're right, wasn't just a tune!

Thank you sir. I would not attribute it to the driver. He is a VERY good driver.

Here are a few videos from Mexico

Quote: A properly driven stock Z06 can beat a LOT of cars. I know this from personal experience.
I agree, I've seen some stout performances from stock C6 Z06s and some really terribile passes.

I know they went 10s stock with amazing drivers but most drivers can't get them there, even with that said. I think it is very impressive for a 450-460whp car to run low to mid 11s stock with a decent driver.

does your ecu tune allow you to brake boost? if so you can try that and you will not lose that initial length to him and stay dead even with him.

i'd say your results are good...

Brake Boost is key.

Get in your optimal MPH to Boost range...hold your foot on the brake while keeping a steady MPH...then floor it on the 3rd honk

and after this my gearbox and transmission will love me

I forgot to mention that we didn't race until 300km/h because of traffic so until 250km/h maybe.

I saw that 60-130mph the z06 has a time of 7.8 seconds (Scott's car) and my non official time was 9.33s.

Also,

Do the run at night. It won't impact the Z06 as much as it will your Turbo in the middle of a hot day.

Most guys in stock Z06 hit 8.8's, so you have a good chance. They are very difficult to extract maximum power from.

2 factors can swing this race. The Z06 will spin...and you will have lag. He can not overcome his problem...you can.

The secret lies within you my son.

just practice your brake boosting. when you get it right, the car will launch nearly as hard as his car and he cannot pull on you. All you need is to have car boosting at .2-.3 bar before you start. It's like driving up a hill easy but still boosting at .1-.2 bar and then nailing it. the car comes alive very quickly and moves out fast.
