Curious about this car listed locally - how much of a premium is the cabriolet over the coupe? What would be a realistic selling price?
2004 996TT cabriolet
Arctic Silver/Grey interior/black top
6 speed w/Navi
6k miles - yep, 6k
One owner trade on a Cayenne TT
CPO thru dealership
Looks fairly loaded - $126k sticker
Appears as new
Okay - I know there are a lot of pricing opinions here - what do you think? I didn't post the asking price on purpose - let's see how good you are without Googling the listing.

Yep, that's me. I just sold my 01 TT coupe to a fella from Jersey last week. Naturally, even though I'm not in the market for a replacement, I still waste a lot of time cruising around certain websites. This usually guarantees that I make a poor decision in order to **** off my wife.

Nice work - it's listed for $64,880. If I thought there was any way I could pull it off without having to deal with the unfortunate side effects of an amateur back alley castration I'd do it. This is basically a brand new car at 50% off. I also found an 05 GT3 for about the same price.
Think you could get the TT for high 50s? Just asking......

I know - but I did the right thing. Now I'm just playing pretend, but it isn't a big leap from just visualizing the car in my garage to stopping at the dealership on Monday and signing my stones away.
First call the dealer and work out a deal for $10k off asking price ...
Tell the wife how upset that you are that you sold your car, mostly because it was a gift from her and the kids. You weren't thinking clearly, you realize that now and you hope she understands and supports your decision to replace it.
I think you could accomplish both goals.
