The mucrielago is the car in your price range and has the criteria you are looking for. The only place you are going to see murcielagos all over the place is if you live inside a lambo dealer.

I'll say it again, the murci is the real deal except maybe for the tubular steel frame which is a little out of date when compared to the top super cars today. Carbon monocoque would save a lot of weight and put the car over the top matched with all the other real CF used in the car. Also, rwd would be nice...

I'm not sure of the price. It would be quite rare. Probably pretty quick too! I think your date may have to climb in the window though.

The latest Ford GT recall was for all 149 production models on the road at the time due to braking control arms... NOT GOOD!
as mentioned, the problem was found in one car and it was the original test mule that had over 200K on it from reports I read.

If you're interested in the CCR let me know. I can get you one new far back of sticker (I have a friend who can get a HUGE kickback from the manufacturer for selling one; most of that kickback can be passed on to the buyer).

I have price a CCR and it was in the 500K range... a bit steep. If anyone can get one for 300K it would be a real candidate.

Zonda is also in the 500K range - which is why I was saying the 250-300 range is really not a lot these days for a great car....
In that range you have V12 Ferraris and Lambos and Astons....Maybe rolls and Bentlys too.....

Britt I know Joe wants to be different and I think I remember his Murci burned did it not? I still would do a Murci or a used CGT, all these other private manufacturers will have issues with US service.

Even a tuner like Ruf which I see people talking about in this thread is a hard car to get serviced in the US can you imagine the Koenigsegg, ( I read a review of this car 2 months ago in a Euro mag but it was raining during the test but is is one bad MF). As far as CCR or Zonda I would not touch it for US maybe in Europe and finally Murcis everywhere? I live 5 minutes from Presitige Imports and there are maybe 2-3 Murci's running locally that I see many Gallardos not alot of Murcis...

Want to drive a real beast and be different F50 is my answer this is the badest of all the F cars..or F40 then get used CGT at least the F40 will hold it s value those others you are looking at are like Catholic Marriages...you get in and dont get out

In Joe's neighboorhood there are 4 Murcielagos so that's the deal with that. We are actually considering a Pagani Zonda... one of only 3 in the US so we will see where that goes.

What's this WE stuff... You hit the lotto???

And so what if there are 4 in his neighorhood?

If he wants to be real exclusive just to be that, step up and spend the 500K+ it will take... And service will be an issue.. You won't just run down to the dealer... Imagine getting parts when needed!!!! Who knows the reliability of any of these cars...

All good points. BTW Gary, I am living vicariously through my buddy because there is no way in hell I would spend 300K+ on a car... atleast not yet!
