Doesnt a carfax only cost something like 20 bucks? Regardless of price, it only guarantees buyback if an acccident or a salvage title is reported to a dmv without it being on the carfax. And that is not likely to happen. It will give you no info on accidents or repairs done to a vehicle without a dmv report. All other info given in a carfax, like previous owners and service history could be obtained from the seller. A car fax and its buyback warranty, is in my opinion garbage but then again its only 20 bux.

You cheap bastard! Get your own membership from CarFax. They provide little accurate info anyway.

Jesus...someone asked for a free carfax writeup a couple weeks ago and there was an outpouring of help for him immediately.

You guys must not like me or something!

The reason I don't want to spend the money on carfax is because it's not worth it. It really doesn't give you any good information on a car. I figured if one of you already paid for a month, it would be no trouble to copy and paste 1 more VIN.

Most of my close friends and my gf are trojans. Never met anyone from sc I didnt like so ure ok in my book. Im just trying to save you the 20 bucks. It really isnt worth it. Besides I think its customary for the seller to provide it. You should have him/ her provide it since you're the buyer. If I had a membership Id of course gladly help out!

If I had a membership I'd gladly help you out. I never understood why people get so upset when asking for one from someone with a membership already. Isn't that what friends are for?
