Its interesting Porsche factory specs of 1 lieter of oil per 1000 km goes back 40 years. My GT3 used only 1/4 qt in 7000 high rpm miles, which i consider nothing. I had a 993 TT I i think it didn't burn more that a Qt in 4000mi. It seems the turbos all use some oil from what I've read it looks to be a qt in 1-3000mi. Again a poll where people could enter there's would come up with an average. That may be useful in a dispute with a dealer. carl

 

TT- 1 qt every 1500 miles, and I broke her in exactly per specs (well almost). Evo: 3k miles, just added a qt. My n/a cars use almost zero oil.
