dog4delta is infamous around these partsdog4delta is infamous around these parts
No need to actually "glue" them. Clean the old ones up using some brake parts cleaner. Just prior to installing your brake pads, apply a thin layer of an anti-brake squeal compound to the back of the anti-vibration damper pads, and then put them in your brake pads. Install the brake pads in your calipers and then reinstall the calipers. After doing so, apply the brake pedal firmly several times in order to squeeze out any excess anti-squeal compound from between the anti-vibration pads and the brake pads.

Anti-squeal compound is available at most auto-parts stores. You can buy it in "single use" small plastic packages (about 1/4 oz size), or in larger size bottles (about 6 oz size). It doesn't take very much. The compound will dry relatively quickly, but doesn't really harden up - - - it just gets dry to the touch but still kind of soft and tacky. Once exposed to high temps due to heat from the brakes, it will harden up. However, even when hard the anti-vibration backing pads can still be removed from the brake pads pretty easily.

I know I make a lot of snarky or downright mean comments on here (especially after smacking my wife around) but threads like this one give this site real value. Thank you!
