A few pics of my ride...
if you were do to the ta rear quarters, rear bumper, and tailights, you would never know it was a 996. (unless you notice the mirrors, interior, and door handles but most non porsche-philes couldnt tell it was a 996)
You right i couldn't tell even i have a 996tt,but don't know ecxactly the difference you mentione.
I had to look on top to make sure I was in the 996tt sub forum not 997tt

rdss,
yep, exterior wise, aside from the posters front end conversion, 997 to 996 differences are the width of the rear quarters on the 997tt (i belive 1.5 in wider), the mirrors, and the door handles, aside from the obvious rear bumpers. I believe the side glass is the same but not the rear most glass...but i know greenturbos car was done with everything including the new 997.2 led tails....
This car is a 996...

not to hijack the OP's thread, his car is *****in too...

BUT..
i wonder what the cost of doing these rear quarters and taillights is for a 996. the cost of metal rear quarters for the 997 is expensive as **** but since these would be composite (im assuming), all you would need to do is find a way to graft the tails and rear bumper (could be 997 parts) and you would have the look of the techart 997 gtstreet rs for pennies on the dollar compared to the real deal..
i know precision porsche had composite 997 specific rear quarters made but these would be so much cooler as you wouldnt see them every day (with the little slits as opposed to the big scoops on the 997)
