996TT Air Filter leaks?

996TT Air Filter leaks?
I noticed that the plastic A/F housing really flexes at the corners between the bolts - the design seems prone to leaks past the filter at corners due to this. What a cheesy design! - I have never seen an A/F housing with this much flex.

Has anyone had issues with dirt getting around the corners that flex?

Jayster - have you noticed the flex that I am talking about? - its mostly below the right side opening at the bottom right side corner......
