Very SAD! Alex Djordjevic has fatal car accident in his 996tt
If you guys remember the old episodes of supercars exposed with Tanner Foust, the episode called shootout. There was a guy with a 2001 996tt who won, his name was Alex Djordjevic.
He was recently at this event on an old highway 341 in Nevada. The reporter(writer) of the article was at the event also driving the new 997.2tt/pdk, he mentioned there was a much faster p-car there and he mentioned the stats on Alex's car.
They say it had 1243HP to the rear wheels, and that is was converted to rear wheel drive b/c the awd system couldn't handle the power. It does the quarter mile in 9.3sec at 167mhp. And for this event he turned down his boost to only 11.6psi which reduced his power to a mere 750hp. By the way the car only weighs 2600 pounds.
So on his last run up the mountain highway, he runs off the road in his car at the same spot the writer scared himself out of the competition, Alex was killed.
Didn't know the guy, but he left an impression on me from the supercars exposed show. I had goose bumps all over after reading the article in Automobile Magazine, and was left feeling very sad....

That said, if the stats you posted above are true (especially the track results), they'd crush the overall 996/997 record. Check Divexxtreme's excellent compilation sticky thread at the top of the page for track results. To put it in perspective, 9.3 @ 167 is almost as quick as, and actually quite a bit faster than, Eddie Bello's record pass in his 964. 750 @ 0.8 BAR is mind-boggling as well. If true, kudos... that's pretty amazing.
