Turbo strange repair work

I guy's

Did someone know why these kind off "strange" repair work had be done on my turbo ( right or passenger side) ?????
I mean the "serflex" clamp and also the red joint paste !!!
oil leaking ??
air leaking ???
or ???

that doesnt look pretty - how do your intercooler ducts look?? have they been cut up?? if so its more than likely that the car was moded and put back to stock prior to sale.

I agree perfectly your opinion , I think that the previous owner had doing "monkey business" on this way but know I trying to do properly work on it for myself , the intercooler look on good order ....

oh yeap !!! ok this is a fluid ( oil ) for helping me to dismantle the turbo screw ( need to be change because off important rusty )

it looks like the Oil tank was not staying put and rattling or hanging low so they used the clamp to hold it still/up in place.

the sealant looks like the turbo was leaking fluid possibly but if that was the case if you look in the turbo/intercooler piping youd see it.

might check your shaft play on those turbos to see if its time for a new set.

+1 on the oil tank not staying on. There is a bolt inside the oil tank that you have to get to through the drain plug. They probably missed it or stripped it and that is the "fix"

Serflex clamps...the duct tape of the automotive world.
