997 front trans mount ...

I've read references to this being a desirable upgrade. What is the issue with the stock mount .... durability? What is the improvement in the 997 design? I would guess shift effort and accuracy might suffer with a wandering trans ... or makes no difference when cables rather than rods are used?

little bit more rigidity, for a worn out stock mount. suppposed to make shifts easier and more crisp as the linkages are not being moved when motor is twisting in the rubber mounts that are worn.
