Need help with alarm system

I recently had an aftermarket navigation and V1 remote display installed (car was already hardwired for a radar detector). Now when I lock the doors there is a single honk, which typically only occurs when the trunk is open. Can this be related to the stereo upgrade/remote display? If so, any idea why?

Thanks.

You must unplug the wire with the female push on terminal located in the radio cavity on the left hand side. It is conected to a metal plate ....unplug and tape off. The other option is to try to use it with your factory alarm but I usually just unplug it. You would need to possible vinyl tape a section of the new radios chassis on the left side so that the metal plate would rest on this section and NOT touch ground (the radio chassis IS ground). What it is for is to set off the factory alarm if someone trys to remove the factory radio. The metal plate rest up against a plastic section on the factory radios left side. Once a thief slides it out it touches the metal chassie ground and trigers the alarm.
