Do 997 door sills fit 996?

Do 997 door sills fit 996?
I am referring to the inner door sills that have the trunk/engine lid release and umbrella cup. Can I install the 997 sills on my 996? The part no. Is different, however they look identical.

Yes, they bolt on no problem. The problem you are facing is the connector for the switches. It's controlled by the PCM and not the actual switch like on the 996. What I did was to take the switches from the 996 sill and install (glue) them on the 997 sill. The 997 part is nicer.
