The original owner of my 996TT said that he had a bad experience with a detailer a couple of years ago. I forget if he said it was a dealer or not. Anyway, they used a harsh chemical on the red calipers, and it faded the finish some. It was the only thing wrong with the car, and it was good for negotiating the purchase price. Now I would like to repair the faded finish. Does anyone know of a company that would take my OEM calipers in exchange for a new or rebuilt set of OEM's?

 

Can't you paint the calipers? A good shop may do it.

 

You can also buy high heat Porsche stickers.

 

We paint calipers all the time here and place the sticker which is clear coated back on. We recently did these StopTech calipers on our 360. That is better and cheaper in my opinion. Other option is to upgrade to the GT3 6piston kit - http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/p...e-p-47193.html
