Not a problem, I just had a link without any details written, I believe many other people do that and I was never told to remove it, but since you feel I shouldn't do it I gladly will remove it, not even an issue.

And PS: You should delete your web link in your signature, thats for our paying sponsors. Thats THEFT and GREED.
Actually, Shank already told you to do it.
You say that it won't work, nobody will pay, but take a look around. A lot of guys have coughed up the money. I believe Ryan when he says that the sponsor money doesn't cover all the costs. But even if it did, I'd still donate to the site, cause I like it.

And Arling, how'd you like my new avatar?

Sorry I think I skimmed over it, it's gone, it's cool

People who feel it's worth it will, but the site can't rely on donations to stay up, that will be it's demise. Don't fool yourself, the sponsor money more than covers it, but either way, I just wanted to point that out.

Look, good site, great members, whoever wants to donate will, but, it is not necessary and it should never become the main source of income.

just becuase you have a forum doesn't meant hat you know what costs are here and what Ryan has planned for this place in the very near future. I have seen the plans and they are fantastic.

To say that you know what costs cover what is probably the most ignorant statement you can make and to keep repaeting your statements is simply rude.

Before this board I donated $400 to funcarsonline when Chris asked for some help. Why you may ask ..... becuase at that time all my freinds were there and I got a lot from the community which was priceless to me. I made many new friends and gather enough information to practically take my car apart it felt like.

No one is saying donate here instead of the red cross. All that is being said is that the new things to come will not be covered by sponsor monies and to say you know exactly what is what is just making you look stupid and ignorant.

PS - way to hijack and kill and nice thread that members started with your tarnish

I see you added a few cars while removing the url, good work!
I've gotta say that I think that everybody in the forum is grown up enough to make their own judgement calls, without you telling us what to do or don't. No offense, but if I want to donate some money, I'll do it and I don't care what anyone thinks.
And I'm not doing it for the stars (though they are pretty nifty

I guess so, people really take it to heart. I am not trying to "tarnish" the thread but I believe membership is the reason the site is so great. I would never ask for money from members because my goal is to keep them happy as they already give me so much. The membership is the most vital part of the forum, I wouldn't risk alienating it or pushing it somewhere else.

Everyone can make their own call on what to do, my goal wasn't to **** everyone off, but I still think I should have said something. A step in the right direction would be to offer something in return other than a few stars above the name.

just wanted to make one more post so that the tone of my posts is not misunderstood or confused with Sticky's.

Not only am i not accusing Shank of stealing the money, i wouldn't care if he did. I'm all for free enterprise. I just wanted to know where the money was going and how that would affect us as members. No value judgements in any way.

Love the site and happy to be here and contribute to the content.

well the difference is that you are basically accusing Shank of stealing the money saying that you know what the costs and revenues are here. I admit that I have no clue and am simply asking where the money is going. I don't particularly care either way, it will just help me to decide whether to contribute or not.

I guess each and everyone of us has the choice to support this site or not. I don't remember Shank twisting any arms to force anyone to pay. Hell I pm'd him yesterday because I can't paypal him the money from where I live and asking if an alternative course to sending a check is possible. Still waiting for the reply so if his plan was to grab as much dollars from everyone, then I should've gotton a PM right after I send it. Shank if you're reading this, I need to know if EZ-Remit or Westren Union is acceptable to you. Need to get my three stars,
