So what's the word on this? Do engine mounts help reduce wheel hop during launch?
Factory GT2 part? Wevo?

engine mounts shouldn't have much to do with wheel hop unles they are so bad as the whole car tries to shake itself apart on launch.
wheel hop is going to be remedied by suspension coils/shocks
now if your transmission mount and engine mounts are all worn they might contribute but are not directly related to the issue.
look into the 997 transmission mount and the wevo semi solids or the gt3/rs type solid mounts, what will happen is the car will be noisyier and vibrate more as the motor no longer flexes in the engine bay.
or if you have a shop/ability to work on your car remove your stock transmission mount and fill the rubber mounts with 3m window weld for a cheap alternative to the 175$ 997mount

I did the 997 transmission mount and Wevo semi solids. While I cannot speak to wheel hop, it makes shifting crisper, and the car transitions on hard cornering better, as the engine is not moving about as much. The wevos make the suspension squat a bit worse as the mounts have less give in them. I am running the 800lb JIC/Cross in back and have about 0 wheel hop, wheel spin is the issue on my car.
While the mounts are a good mod I would look to your suspension setup, rims/tire combo to reduce wheel hop.

Wevo mounts with transmission carrier urethane bushings, LWFW and clutch plate without springed center makes a LOT of noise in the cabin. But its' sharp, precise with shifts ( I still need a short shifter ) and no wheel hop...
Thanks for all the feedback. Looks Like I'm leaning towards the Wevo and 997TT tranny mounts.
Anyone know if there a big difference between GT3 engine mounts and Wevo? Probably to early but I bet GT2RS engine mounts will do nicely as well?
@pete95zhn Please tell me more about about urethane tranny carrier bushing.
@ Landjet Please keep us updated a thread about your subjective feelings would be appreciated. Hit me up with a PM so I don't miss it!
BTW the worst thing I ever did to my car was a LWFW. Simply NOT worth it on the street. As much as I loved the faster revving and appreciable "raciness" it was a very big concession in daily driving. Took it out.
