Funny black things on the bumper

What are the black bumps below the headlights on the front bumper on the 2001 Turbo. I'm looking at buying a 2001 and it is the first one that I've noticed has them? Are they something that is easily removed or do you need to replace the whole front end? They really take away from the lines of the car. I have included a link to a picture that shows what I'm referring to.

Warts - you can easily replace them by calling Eric at Bumperplugs and clean that up. The entire bumper doesn't need to be replaced. :)

When you remove them the plastic grilles behind them will need to be replaced (they have cut outs for the bumperettes). They are cheap though and really cleans up the front of the car.

They can be removed. This is what you need.

The "warts" were on early production 2001 cars. You will need to replace both grills and have the bumper cover repaired and repainted. Porsche cut out 2 chunks of the bumper cover approximately 2 x 3 inches behind the warts to fit the fasteners.

I ended up replacing my bumper cover rather then the hassle and worry of a proper repair.

Hope this helps.

Here are a three pictures of my old bumper cover with a bumperette removed.
First shows the slot and 2 holes drilled to fit the bumperette retainer screws.
Second picture I have a new (untouched) grill laying on top of the bumper just to see whats covered and whats not.
Third is from the back side showing the 3 slots that they make to melt the bumperette retainer into that will have to be removed.

Each side will have 5 holes and the large slot above the grill that I would think needs to be repaired? The grills shown above wont be enough.
