Going from single DIN to double DIN

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how easy it is to go from a single DIN head unit with the cupholders - to a double DIN headunit (without the cupholders)? I'm not worried about the wiring - just the physical fit? Do I need some type of custom trim piece? Is there a kit?

Thanks kindly!

I did it in my previous 996TT.. and I hacked away. Not what you want to do in a Porsche.. but what the hell. Installed an Eclipse 2bl din.

You can do it.. not too hard. Just time consuming.

Not a difficult job

I think it was a couple of hours in the end to move to this.

How many hours did it take to move the steering wheel to the wrong side? I kid. I kid.
