xcusemi is infamous around these parts
removing front differential under tray

I just finish flush and fill the transmission fluid. I was about to flush and fill the front differential.

I got into a small problem. I went underneath the car and unscrew the 4 10MM plastic bolts and could not remove the front differential under tray. I did noticed seeing the 5 Rectangle Metal Clips that holding the under tray to the car. After trying to ply them out, I could not do it. I would like to know how to remove these 5 rectangle metal clips?

Appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you and have a happy holiday!

if you look to the edges of the clips you will see how there is a little clip. use some really small plyers and hook the edge of the clip.. pull it inwards and they should come loose.

i just did mine

+1 to Porka. I usually slide a screwdriver under the clip and pry it out. I have broken the tab off of one once. If that happens, just order another. It will hold ok with one missing if necessary.

just so you know porsche does not even have a service interval for changing diff fluid ever. my car was at 46k and i decided that it couldnt do any harm to swith it out.

therefore its not a necessity, but its an added step you can take to protect your car.
